These are examples of the streets in Sorrento. There are two pictures on of all the girls in the group and the other is of all the guys of the group. We have a great group.

Sorrento

This is Sorrento a small town along the coast of Italy. It is beautiful! In this town there are a lot of expensive stores like lacoste and Gucci but the town still had the typical winding street ways with shops and hanging laundry.

Walking around Napoli

These are some pictures of our first night in Napoli walking around the town. We visited a Basilica and went through the cramed ally ways. Napoli gave the whole group a healthy appreciation for Florence, Napoli is not the cleanest of Italian cities.

Here we are waiting for the train and walking up the lane of love at Cinque Terra. I love the pictures of friends. The second picture is of me and my storia di Arte and my grammatica professors they are amazing women...very patient :)

Bon fire with Smores!!!!

In the evening at Poppi we had a fire with smores and it was a little taste of home except the chocolate was amazing!!! A lot different then good old hershey. :)

Spiritual Retreat

Here at Poppi our theme for the weekend was The Journey. We broke off into family groups and games to play that connected with the theme of journey. We played five games total. The first game was to create a song that connected to the journey of someone in the group or in the bible, next was a blindfold game where someone from the group was blindfolded and two others had to lead them through an obstacle course the, then a nature sculpture which our group found a big tube that reminded us of Joseph in the pit and Daniel in the lions den, next was talk about or ideal journey to find God the majority of the group decided somewhere in nature or journey to the holy land, and finally the last game that we played was my life in 10 seconds this game was funny to watch one person said a brief biography while the rest of the group acted it out since the bio was said so quickly then it was hard for the people acting to keep up…. It was all just a bunch of fun! The last picture was my family group; we composed a wonderful song along with great discussions about what the ideal pilgrimage to God. For the most part it was an awesome opportunity to become closer with the people here. The whole weekend was awesome; to be able to make the connection of our spiritual journey to the journey we are experiencing here in Italy was a great opportunity. We had one of the theology professors be our speaker; he did a great job of giving us encouragement to take some time to work on our spiritual journey with God.
